If they but knew it, almost all men in their degree, some time or other, cherish very nearly the same feelings towards the ocean with me.

This project will enhance simulation speed by exploiting a new type of symmetry known as conjugate symmetry. This work will be based on a proven simulation technique known as the hyperlinear technique. The hyperlinear technique provides high performance simulation for circuits specified as gates, Boolean expressions, binary decision diagrams (BDDs), or truth tables. The hyperlinear simulation algorithm combines several gates together into a single simulation unit, which can be simulated almost as efficiently as a single gate. The algorithm is significantly more efficient if the function being simulated is symmetric. Unfortunately, symmetric functions are comparatively rare, so the full power of the algorithm cannot be exploited by every circuit.
